WEST OF BAROONA
Land West of Baroona, is situated to the west of Cupernham Lane on the northern side of Romsey.
The application site is located on the Eastern side of Test Valley and generally occupies the sloping valley side between Cupernham Lane along its eastern boundary and the Romsey Barge Canal that defines the Western boundary of the site.
As part of the planning permission, substantial areas of land at Fishlake Meadows were transferred to Test Valley Borough Council in order for the land to manage as a nature reserve.
In 2016 Stratland secured consent for development for up to 40 detached family homes however after a detailed market analysis and in order to maximise the land use Stratland decided to review the consent. Further discussions with Test Valley Borough Council led Stratland to re-apply for 73, 2,3 and 4 bed units.
The site has since been disposed of to a well known house builder.
